We live next door to Cueva Limon so we are happy to help with any questions or pass on any information that you may require.
The river which runs below the property is full of wildlife. Boars visit their watering homes at night, water birds build their nest and water turtles live along the banks. The walk along the river path is a must for anyone looking for peace while enjoying nature’s scenery.
You can rest in one of two roof patios or sit under the tree and take in the wonderful views around us. There are many ancient caves along the rock face opposite and you will often see the shepherds take their herds of goats to them for shelter at night.
For those wanting a little fun we do have a table tennis table, boules and many board games but, if you feel like taking a break from all the activities, the hammock is a great relaxing spot.
We do have 3 dogs. Charlie, a retriever x who likes to wash everyone – Barney, pointer x who had a bad start in life so can be quite shy of new people and can often hide in a bush (head may be in the bush but the rest of his body is not so he can easily be spotted) – and our new arrival Alfie, Spanish Mastin who is very playful when awake which is not that often. If you like walking with dogs we would be overjoyed to loan you a dog for the trip and, you will have a friend for life.
Cueva Limón is easy to find and is a peaceful retreat with amenities within 10 minutes and a larger town, baza, around 20 mins drive. Emilios restaurant/bar is a family run business and is a well known eating place for locals and visitors. It’s worth the 5 minute trip for the great food and good quality tapas with every drink. If you mention our names Amillio will gladly tell you that we are the new mafia. It’s a long story which we will happily relay to you over a cold beer or two.
If you would like to hire a bicycle, take trips around the area or have moroccan cookery lessons, we can help you organise the ideal package just for you. Take a look at The area around Cueva Limon
